McMurry University Students Participate in Big Event

ABILENE, Texas – Approximately 100 McMurry University students will be working on volunteer projects in the community as part of the Big Event this Saturday, April 13, to give back to the Abilene community.

         Students will be working at Friendship Park, Buffalo Gap Historic Village, Trinity Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, Food Bank of West Central Texas, Elmwood West, Taylor County Humane Society, and other locations.

Big Event volunteers are going to meet at 8:45 a.m. and be at their respective job sites by 9:15 a.m. All projects are expected to be completed by 1 p.m. or earlier.
